    In the year 1972 quite a few Bengali settlers who were mostly from Army/Railways had decided to set up a Temple of Goddess Kali in Vivekanandapuram which comes under Ammuguda Railway station in Secunderabad Cantonment Area. Foundation Stone was laid by Late Swamy Ranganathananda then president of Ramakrishna Mission, Hyderabad on 11th august 1974.
